Week Beginning 5th May

We had a visit from a member of the Wood Green Animal Shelter this week.   She came to do a whole school assembly – the theme was ‘Staying Safe with Woody the Dog’.  During the assembly the children were given advice on how to approach dogs safely.  After the assembly the Blue Toucans and Dolphins classes had a lesson with Molly the mouse, who also came along for a visit, and made her a home. Thank you to Wood Green – we all enjoyed your visit.

The children in Year 4 have been away on their residential visit to the Kingswood Activity Centre at Albrighton in Staffordshire.  The weather could have been kinder but it didn’t stop them having a busy time, with the children taking part in a wide variety of activities throughout each day.  These varied from climbing up and down ropes, driving quad-bikes, caving to archery and taking part in field games and team challenges.  Everyone came home very tired including the accompanying staff, Mrs Jaynes, Miss Wilkerson, Miss Lizell and Mrs Lawson.

The prize winners of the FOBS Easter Egg Hunt were drawn in assembly this morning. The winner of the family bowling ticket was Oliver Shipley in Wallabies class and the winner of the Easter egg was Stella Leach in Pandas class. Well done to everyone who took part in the egg hunt.
