Week beginning 13th June

  • Yesterday we welcomed over 70 fathers to school for the Fathers Day lunch.   A lovely menu was provided by the kitchen team and some very complimentary comments were given as our Dads left school very feeling well fed.   Thank you to the kitchen team for providing another lovely lunch.  Thank you also the FOBS for running the Fathers Day shop, which was very well attended.
  • Year 6 held their Enterprise afternoon today and all of the children in school had a fun afternoon trying out a variety of games and competitions and also had lots of cakes to sell and eat!  All money raised will go to this years chosen charity – Breast Cancer Care.   We will let you know how much was raised in next weeks news letter.  Well done to year 6 for all their work creating their mini-businesses this week.
  • Three teams of Year 5/6 athletes took part in the Quad Kids Athletics tournament at St Ives outdoor track this week.  We had successes with many of our children coming first, second or third in their races and events. Unfortunately it will be a couple of weeks until we know the final placings for the meeting – we will keep you informed as soon as the school has been notified.  Thank you to the parents who helped transport the children to and from St Ives
  • The Wolves class had their assembly today – thank you to all parents who came along to share the assembly. The final class assembly of the year is the Wallabies next Friday at 9.05 am.
