Talk Homework: Can you find any shapes that you can half? What would they now look like? How about a quarter of the shape?
In English we have been writing descriptive sentences including expanded noun phrases, conjunctions and punctuation. Today in English we explored past and present tense. We have loved celebrating World Book Day- we enjoyed sharing our favourite books, writing reviews about them, exploring numbers in books and of course, drinking hot chocolate! In maths, we have been learning about fractions of shape and amount, including 1/2 and 1/4. We have also practised representing numbers in different ways independently. In art, we have been mixing colours to reflect our skin tones. In RE, we researched different Easter symbols and explored their meanings within Christianity. In reading, we have looked at different text types including fiction and non-fiction texts- we loved reading pet poems today and learning about the Titanic! In music, we have been singing and performing the song 'Zoo Time' and are looking forward to learning how to play this on instruments soon! In PSHE, we have been learning about community groups and belonging to these, including how we feel.
Isla-Rose- 'I have enjoyed maths where we have been learning about lots and lots of different ways to do half and quarters with different shapes'
Shruthi- 'I enjoyed doing art, mixing colours and using crayons to match our skin tones'
Edmund- 'I have enjoyed World Book Day... having hot chocolate!'
Matilda B- 'I liked when we mixed up the colours'
Olivia E- 'I enjoyed when we did maths doing fractions because it was challenging but fun'
Have a good weekend!
