Talk Homework: Play a game using a dice. Can your child recognise the dice spot quantity without counting? Use Numbots too this week please. With the cold weather, encourage your child to zip up their coat on their own and put their gloves or mittens on independently.

Reading: Read at least 3 times at home and record on Boom reader.

PE: We are doing indoor PE this half term. Please make sure your child has the appropriate clothing for PE and that all their items of clothing are labelled (including socks). TUESDAY is our PE day.

It's been yet another busy week! In literacy, the children have been learning to write sentences and practising starting the sentence with a capital letter and ending it with a full stop. They have also learnt to retell the story of the Gingerbread Man using a story map. In art, we've been learning about Lottie Reiniger, an animator, and we watched Hansel and Gretel and admired her use of shadow puppets to tell the story. We then experimented with different materials to find out which one makes the best shadow.

In PSHE, we are thinking about healthy eating and we were discussing what foods we like and dislike.

In nature school, we went for a walk on the playing fields to look for signs of winter. We learnt about deciduous trees and evergreen trees.

Have a lovely weekend!
