Please ensure you are logging all reading on Boomreader. We have sent home Letterjoin logins for you all to access our online platform we use within school to help with letter formation at home. Please make sure you are doing at least 20 minutes of numbots a week.
Please practice the spellings for the test next week: throwing, joke, home, broke, father, grass.
In English this week the children have been looking at how to write a diary entry. We looked at their structure and then had a go at writing our own diary entry from the point of view of Anna when she found the gold. Some great creativity was shown in their writing.
In PE the children have really enjoyed getting to play football and have been playing small matches and it is nice to see them working well in teams and supporting each other.
In maths we have been looking at place value and exploring how numbers are made up. They have been really good at using the manipulatives in the classroom to support their own learning and have again shown great resilience with this.
In Science this week we have been learning about reptiles. The children were able to identify their key characteristics and are becoming more confident when comparing them to mammals and amphibians to help consolidate their learning.
Just a reminder that payments for Safari Stu can be made on Arbour.
