Autumn Term 2024:
Site Manager
We are looking for a Site Manager who will be responsible for managing both the overall appearance, safety, planned & reactive maintenance and smooth running of Buckden CE Primary Academy school site. This will include security, lighting and heating, cleaning specified areas, porterage duties, maintenance and repair duties as appropriate and such duties as may arise from the use of the premises.
The Site Manager will be expected to take pride in the service provided and the standards achieved relating to all aspects of the management of the school site, including the supervision of a small team of cleaning staff.
We’re looking for an enthusiastic individual who will play an integral role within the staff team. We are seeking a candidate who will bring practical skills to support the continual development of the school and its premises. The successful candidate will have a positive, can do approach. Every day will be varied, so the role will suit someone who likes new challenges and would enjoy being part of a busy school environment.
Your working hours will be 30 hours spread over the working week of Monday to Friday, with the responsibility of securing the premises each day at 6.30pm once all after-school activities are finished. Actual working times are flexible and can be discussed at the interview stage.
The successful candidate will:
- Uphold their duty with respect to safeguarding of pupils, following training.
- Ideally have practical experience of carrying out basic maintenance and repairs of buildings, outside grounds, DIY and decorating.
- Be able to communicate with all stakeholders such as SLT, staff, contractors, and pupils.
- Have excellent organisation skills along with basic IT skills,
- Provide first aid following training.
