Homework- read at least 3 times a week and record on Boom Reader app.
Numbots- try to use at least twice a week. We are part of a school challenge and can win the Maths Mammoth mascot if we do the most Numbots in lower school. We haven't won yet and it would be great to achieve this so the more correct answers each child gets, the better.
This week we made porridge and used the thermometers to learn about our 'just right' temperature. The children also added salt and sugar to achieve their perfect porridge.
Today we have been learning all about Chinese New Year; the year of the Dragon. The children learnt facts, dressed up, made crafts and explored artefacts.
In maths we have been adding 2 single digit numbers including using numicon and dice to generate the totals.
In phonics we have learnt the digraph 'ee' and become very confident at writing words containing this phoneme.
