In the eyes of God, every child matters, every moment of every day

Friday 22nd September

Please complete the 4 tasks set for you on SATs Companion.  Remember to read for at least 20 minutes each day, with 3 days in the week reading aloud to an adult.  Ensure you learn your spelling words ready for a quiz on Monday.  This week's words are:  accompany, explanation, rhythm, average, conscience, develop, symbol, immediately, necessary, privilege.

Jack C:  This week in English we have written a newspaper report about the red-eye virus.  I enjoyed the fact that we were able to be creative with the facts that we shared, and I was really proud of my finished piece.

Ida:  In Geography we have been learning about deforestation.  We did a conscience alley and debated whether deforestation could ever be a good thing.

Tom:  In Science today we have been thinking about why woodpecker's don't get concussion.  We created our own 'woodpecker skulls' using recycled materials and then put an egg inside to see if we could prevent it from getting broken when it was dropped from a height.  It was lots of fun.
