Daily reading.

In English this week we have started looking at our new power of reading book, we havent told the children the books title however.  We want the children to explore the ideas in the book without any preconceptions of what they think it might be about. The children have studied a page a day and had a go at writing captions for the pictures of the text as well as a character description for the books main character.

In Maths we have looked at money, how to convert pounds to pence and how to find change. Although tricky, all of the children have given it a very good go.

We have started our art topic for the term looking at the artist Grant Wood. We have learnt all about his life and looked at different pieces of his comparing them.

We've continued our exploration through time in History, starting now to look at the Iron age.

Light and shadows are our topic for exploration in Science this term and the children have had great fun looking at the different sources of light we can find around us.
