In the eyes of God, every child matters, every moment of every day

Friday 27th September 2024

Homework- to read at least 3 times a week and record on Boom reader.

You have all received the information for Numbots. Give it a go this week.

As the weather is getting colder (and wetter), please make sure your child has a named coat and puddlesuit with them at school.

Church walk volunteers please meet us on Monday at 9:10 in front of the school.

What we enjoyed this week:

"I enjoyed Lego." - Gerry

"I enjoyed maths because dinosaur had more than crocodile or crocodile had more than dinosaur when we were comparing groups." - Poppy

"I liked writing my name." - Jaxon

"I liked playing babies in the calm area." - Alicia

"I liked going to collective worship with the whole school." - Georgie

In phonics, we have learnt i, n, m and d and are beginning to blend and segment some words like pin, mid and tip. The children have all been writing the letters, too.

In maths, we have been comparing groups, saying if there is more in one group than another and using 5-frames to check our answers.

We started French, learning to say Je m'appelle.

We also started music lessons and added our own lyrics to the song 'I've Got a Grumpy Face'.

For Science, the children learned about the five senses and were able to use their senses to explore fresh herbs outside.

Today in RE, we talked about how God is a VIP.
