In the eyes of God, every child matters, every moment of every day

Please ensure you are logging all reading on Boomreader. We have sent home Letterjoin logins for you all to access our online platform we use within school to help with letter formation at home. Please make sure you are doing at least numbots at least 20 minutes a week.

Please practice your spellings for your test on Monday:  bath, was, lawn, drew, played, louder.

The children have coped brilliantly this week with all of the changes thrown at them!

In English we have carried on reading The Jolly Christmas Postman and the children produced some fantastic wanted posters for the wolf. They also wrote some lovely ideas for their ingredients for a gingerbread friend.

In maths, we have been looking at addition and subtraction within 20 and they are becoming really familiar with how to use a number line confidently to help them.

In science, the children were sent a letter from an owl who needed help choosing the best material for his den. The children were able to use the language of opaque, transparent and translucent while they carried out their experiments and could identify which one would block out light the best.
