Please ensure you are logging all reading on Boomreader. We have sent home Letterjoin logins for you all to access our online platform we use within school to help with letter formation at home. Please make sure you are doing at least 20 minutes of numbots a week.

In English this week we finished reading ‘How to Find Gold’ and the children got to write a book review. They have then been planning and writing their own story based on a picture where they showed great creativity. It is really promising to see how far their writing has come since the start of the year.

In maths we have been looking at measurement. We began looking at using cubes as a way to measure length and height and they had the chance to measure any object in the class that they would like. We then moved on to centimetres and looked at how to use a ruler.

The highlight of the week was of course the visit from Safari Stu. The children were so brave and got to hold a big range of animals and even had the chance to have a snake around their neck! It was lovely to see the children being so gentle with the animals and asking so many great questions. It was a lovely way to round off our science topic.

We hope that you have a lovely half term!
