Please ensure you are logging all reading on Boomreader. We have sent home Letterjoin logins for you all to access our online platform we use within school to help with letter formation at home. Please make sure you are doing at least 20 minutes of numbots a week. 

In English this week we have been focusing on our comprehension skills and the children have tried really hard and shown great resilience when looking at this new skill.

In RE we have begun our new topic of salvation and have been looking at the Easter story. We discussed what we already knew about the story and then broke it down into its key events. The children drew some pictures to represent each stage of the Easter story and they are excited to delve into more detail. 

In Geography we have been looking at finding places on a map of Buckden and using our compass skills to help us. We have then been looking at reduce, reuse, recycle and designed our own recycling bins. Next week we will be learning all about littering and then designing our own posters.

In Art we were looking at sketching. The children got the chance to do some observational drawings of bugs and they all showed a great level of focus and they produced some fantastic drawings.
