In the eyes of God, every child matters, every moment of every day

Friday 21st March 2025

Please ensure you are logging all reading on Boomreader. We have sent home Letterjoin logins for you all to access our online platform we use within school to help with letter formation at home. Please make sure you are doing at least 20 minutes of numbots a week.

Please learn these spellings for the test next week: snow, crow, show, rainbow, parents, everybody.

In English we have been writing a newspaper report about the robbery that happened in our book ‘Claude in the City’. The children came up with some great headlines and wrote some lovely descriptions about what happened.

In maths we have been looking at capacity and volume and we had a lot of fun using water to compare which containers had a greater capacity. Next week we will be moving on to counting in 2s, 5s and 10s.

In RE we have been continuing to look at the Easter story and focused on the symbolism of the cross. We also looked at the different emotions in the Easter story and the children got to draw round a cross with different coloured chalk to represent the different emotions.

We have all been practising for the play and the children have blown us away with their singing voices!

The dates for the play are:

Tuesday 1st April 2pm - 3pm

Tuesday 1st April 3:45 pm - 4:45 pm

Wednesday 2nd April 5:30 - 6:30 pm.

Please could you bring in their costumes at the earliest on Wednesday but the latest on Friday as we need them for a dress rehearsal.
