We have had a sunny week. It was great to see you all for parent’s evenings and to share your children’s progress.

In football, we have been learning how to pass the ball using the inside of our foot. Billy said, “We worked as a team to dribble and pass the ball to our partners”. They all enjoyed a penalty shootout at the end of the lesson!

DT- Delilah and Byron enjoyed discussing resources with their partners and writing a list of them to use when building their vehicles. They also decided the skills required to design and make their cars. They looked at the skills builder and had a brief look at a job specification for a car designer. We think we may have some CAD Draughtsmen in our midst!

Maths- After finding that our pupils needed more practice on balancing equations, we enjoyed a lesson using scales to help them to understand visually. Dylan and Talin said that they benefitted from learning about missing numbers. The intervention resulted in more confident mathematicians.

Christmas can be a difficult time for families. We are collecting toys to help families in the local area who are struggling to provide Christmas presents due to economic difficulty. Please could you send toys to school for Buckden Tower’s toy bank. They must be clean and in good repair. These toys will go to families in the local area.

In a drive for healthier classrooms, we would be grateful for any houseplants for the classroom. Thanks so much to those that have donated plants to us so far this term.

We hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Mrs Keating, Mrs Tarpey and Mrs Jaynes.
