Year 3  had another fantastic week.

In English, we have learnt how to use inverted commas in our writing and we have a much better understanding of how to punctuate speech properly now. In maths, we have been subtracting a two digit number from a three-digit number, exchanging-across a ten barrier. In our reciprocal reading lesson we used our predicting, questioning and summarising skills to learn more about innovations in the Stone Age. We thought about how the text told us about how the Stone Age innovations of tools, fire and shelter helped Stone Age man to survive. Our gymnastic skills are developing well and our routines, combining balances with travel, are beginning to take shape. We even incorporated the wallbars into our routines. A highlight of the week was our science investigation when we became Toyologists and investigated which material would make the best end to a racetrack. The children's working scientific skills were really exercised and their teamwork skills shone

Have a fantastic weekend
