What a wonderful and busy week. We have learnt the sounds g- grumpy bear, o- socktopus octopus, c- crunchy caterpillar and k- ketchup on your cornflakes. We even had a visit from a caterpillar who only ate things with the initial sound c and he spat out any other items.
In maths, we have been learning about 2D and 3D shapes and finding them in our environment. We used them to build patterns and structures.
Early in the week, Mrs Jaynes visited with her baby daughter. We got to ask questions and learn more about what babies can and can't do. We also sequenced people as they mature from baby to elderly.
The week ended on a high with us creating the most outstanding model village. The children worked as a team to add all the necessary elements of a successful village including a shop, church, pub, school, homes and transport. It really was spectacular.
