Our school values the place that it holds within the Buckden Community and constantly strives to make better and stronger links with local groups and organisations.

Throughout the school year there are many opportunities for the local community to visit our school, and through this the children gain a greater understanding of the immediate world on their doorstep.  This forms the foundation for making links with other communities both nationally and internationally.

Events held for our local community have included an Over 60’s Tea Party with entertainment; Carol Singing at Hardwick Dene – a local residence for the retired; and National Sing Up Day with younger siblings and parents being invited to a Sing Song Session.  We also support local and national charityinitiatives through fundraising events.  In recent years non-uniform days have raised money for Children in Need, Comic Relief and Marie Curie Cancer Care.

Listed are the names of groups and organisation in Buckden village who have links with the school and community.  Please click on the group to access their websites for further information.
