BOSS (Buckden Out of School Scheme)
B.O.S.S. (Buckden Out of School Scheme) is the before and after School club. The club is located on the school premises and is open from 07:30am-08.35am and 3.15pm-6.00pm. Friday the club closes at 5.15pm.

Alternatively you can text during the school day and your message will be picked up.
(Please note that all BOSS staff are also Teaching Assistants during the day and therefore they will not be able to pick up any messages/emails until later in the day - anything urgent is to be directed the school office).

To Make a booking for BOSS
From September 2024 we have implemented a new online booking system called Magic Booking.
Magic Booking is a cloud-based platform, which means that you can access it anywhere, anytime and on any device, so long as that device has an internet connection. From your account, you will be able to make or cancel bookings, access past bookings details and payment history 24/7. Please find below the Terms and Conditions for BOSS and the new online booking system.

Once your child is enroled at Buckden CE Primary Academy, you should automatically have access to Magic Booking. Parent accounts are set up for priority 1 parents from Arbor, our School Management System, if your email is not recognised please get the alternative parent to try logging on in the first instance. Once the main account holder is logged in, they can then add the additional parent as an ‘Additional Account Holder’ if they wish them to make and pay for bookings.
Arbor will remain our primary source of data. Therefore, any changes relating to your and your children’s data including medical/dietary requirements, emergency contact details, authorised collectors will still need to be notified to the school.
When logging on for the first time please select ‘Forgot your password?’ with the email address you have shared with the school, as a priority 1 parent, then follow the instructions in the email sent to you to set-up your password. Check your junk folder if you don’t see the email in your inbox.
Please see below the Parent FAQs on how to use Magic Booking. You can use the Help? section in Magic Booking, on the top right-hand side of the website, and follow the process described in the relevant sections. It takes 5 to 10 minutes to create your account.
You will be able to book your sessions by visiting the home page where you will see Breakfast & Afterschool Club 2024/2025 as an activity. Click the menu 'Book Activity'. Selecting your centre i.e. BOSS, you can view general information of an activity by looking at the individual cards or clicking on the read more button. To book an activity, click ‘Book’ on the card of the activity you want to book. On the next page, select the child(ren) you want to book, select the sessions, the period and the days.
An initial payment by card is needed to secure and confirm your booking. Sessions are booked for the entire academic year on a contract basis, with a 6-week cancellation period. You will be able to select a monthly payment plan, this only applies to bookings that last over 34 days and your payment plan will be of the same duration as the booking ie to the end of the academic year. Payments paid will be labelled ‘magicbooking’ on your card statements.
You will also be able to pay by childcare vouchers, we have listed our current voucher providers on Magic Booking, if yours is not listed please let BOSS know in order for it to be added for future bookings. When paying with vouchers, please reference your child’s full name so that we can identify the payment at our end and add the credit/payment to your account.
