The catchment area for Buckden School includes the villages of  Diddington and Southoe.  If you live in either of these villages your child is entitled to travel to school on the school bus. You will need to obtain a bus pass – application forms for these are available on line.  You will need to go to the Cambridgeshire County Council website, the Education section, then click on Primary School Transport.  Forms are also available from the school office.

In the mornings the bus will collect your child from the designated bus stops, 8.25 am in Diddington and 8.30 am in Southoe. Please be at the bus stop five muinutes before the bus is due and wait with your child  until they are safely on the bus.
At morning registration a bus register will be taken. If your child is not returning on the bus please send in a written note or telephone the office explaining alternative arrangements.  If the arrangements for your child’s home journey change during the school day, please telephone the school office in inform them of the alternative arrangements for your childs homeward journey.

At the end of the day the children who travel on the school bus meet in the hall where they are registered.  The bus will arrive back in Diddington at 3.30pm and Southoe at 3.40pm. Please ensure that you are at the bus stop to greet your child off the bus.
