Homework- read at least 3 times a week and record on Boom Reader app.

Numbots- All children have been given a printout of their login information in their Reading folders. Try to use at least twice a week. We are part of a school challenge and can win the Maths Mammoth mascot if we do the most Numbots in lower school. We haven't won yet and it would be great to achieve this so the more correct answers each child gets, the better.

This week we retold our favourite fairy tales using our story spoons. "I told the story of The Gingerbread Lady." --Darcie

We had a lovely time making our own playdoh pancakes, learning more about Pancake Day and why it is special to Christians.

In maths we have been learning about measure -- length and height. We've been experimenting with different ways of measuring, comparing, using multilink and even using our feet to count how far we could throw beanbags.  "I threw the beanbag all the way to my house!"--Fraser

In phonics we have learnt the trigraph 'igh'. We will be repeating this when we return to school after half term, so don't be surprised when you see The Train Set in your child's reading folder again. "I liked learning the phoneme 'igh' because I like learning stuff."--Sophie R

Have a lovely and restful half term!
