In the eyes of God, every child matters, every moment of every day

Week beg Mon 12th Feb

Enjoy your half-term!

This term has been full of practical explorations. We've investigated thermal and electrical conductivity in science, armature frames in art and CAM mechanisms in DT linked to our geography topic of oceans.

In Math, we're back into fractions before beginning decimals/percentages and area next term.

Next term, although short, will also be full of forces in Science, sustainable cities (DT/Geography/Art), the Vikings (History) and healthy living in PSHE. We'll also be beginning our rehersals for our play 'Treachery at Traitors' Quay' - a WW2-based production full of the Jitterbug and lots of speaking parts.

During the first week back, we will be holding auditions for speaking and soloist roles. Please prepare your audition piece if you'd like a speaking or singing role - previous year 5s have written their own short audition pieces, performed poetry or songs to showcase their intonation and enthusiasm for the theatre. Roles will be prioritised to those who audition.

Enjoy your half term.
